The Duck Race
You can help pay for the Fair. We charge no admission and rely on sponsorship
from local and national businesses and also our own fundraising efforts.
The Duck Race is run by the Fair to help pay for the event. So on Fair
Day, this is your chance to visit the Duck Race stall and buy a duck.
On Sunday, 20th June at 2.00pm all the ducks will race down Dreghorn
Burn (next to Dreghorn Barracks, Redford Road). The first three over
the line will win cash prizes. So, come along and cheer on your duck.
Fair
Day Bowling Competition
This is an open pair competition and will be held on the bowling
green in St Margaret’s Park. The competition will be a progressive
pairs with
rules and instructions given on the day. Cost is £3 per pair
and participants need to book in by 10.00am. There are cash prizes
to play
for as well as a winning medal. For more information please contact

Photography Competition
Inspired to take photos! Want to enter this competition sponsored by
Studio 16 Photography? This competition has three categories: children
under 12, age 12 to 16 and adults. Please submit your entry
before 2nd June with a note of your name, tel nos and category entered and
hand
it in to John Barrett MP’s office at 1a Drumbrae Avenue. All entries
will be displayed in Corstorphine Primary School on Fair Day.
Edinburgh
Leisure’s
Fair Day Tennis Competition
Play Tennis at the Corstorphine Fair between 2pm to 4pm. Come along
for a fun session organised by Edinburgh Leisure’s team of qualified
tennis
coaches. No need to book and equipment will be available. All the
family are welcome to come and give tennis a go. There will be
fun challenges
on the day and prizes will be on offer too.
Fair Competitions
Road Race
Wednesday, 9th June - Corstorphine Amateur Athletic Club. 5
mile ROAD RACE starting near to the SCA Packaging depot on Turnhouse
Road.Main race starts at 7.30pm and a FUN RUN shortly after. There
are lots of prizes and entry forms are available from Martin Caldwell
on 449 3281 or from the website at www.caac.org.uk and also at
Corstorphine Fair.
Football Competition
Wednesday, 2nd June, Carrick
Knowe Primary
School - Starting at 6pm - Come and watch the six local primary
schools compete for the trophy.
